Jennifer Lennon – Piano / Voice
Jennifer Lennon has a B.A. in Music Performance from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Pedagogy at Northeastern University. Ms. Lennon specializes in Celtic Music, specifically Irish, Scottish, and Welsh, however she is classically trained and has a fondness for early music Medieval through Baroque. Ms. Lennon teaches a variety of techniques dependent on instrument and skill level of the student. She delves into traditional classical training, contemporary pedagogy, but utilizes techniques congruent with specific areas of world music.
Ms. Lennon is an active composer in Film and Theatre in Chicago. She has won several awards for her service to Choral Music and Choral Music Education in Chicago and around the world. She is an active Conductor in Chicago, Native American Rights activist, and accomplished Native American flute player. Jenne is one third of the international trio Shishonnah. Their music has received rave reviews all over the world and is featured in every online music store on the planet, with various licenses throughout the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Asia. They have been featured on world music radio all over the globe.
