AMI Student Referral Program

At the American Music Institute, we believe music grows best in the community — our families, students, and teachers are the heart of it all. When you share AMI with someone you care about, you’re not just recommending lessons… you’re inviting them into a place where musicians belong and grow. Now, sharing AMI comes with a special thank-you!

How Does It Work?

  1. Refer a friend, family member, colleague, or your child’s classmate — anyone new to AMI who is registering for the very first time.
  2. Share the AMI CONTACT FORM link, and make sure the person filling it mentions they’ve been referred. AMI team members will then reach out to discuss the details and get them started!
  3. Once a new student signs up for private lessons, both of you receive a $75 credit.
    • That’s one FREE 45-minute lesson (in-campus or online).
    • Credits can also be applied to in-home lessons (you’ll simply cover the difference in cost).
    • How to Unlock Credit ($75) for you & new student – $75 credit is issued to you and new student after new student completes their first four (4) lessons.
  4. Enjoy making music together as part of the AMI community!

Who Can Participate?

Anyone! If they’re a brand-new AMI student, they qualify. One can be: 

  • Your child’s friend
  • Other parent you know
  • Co-worker
  • Neighbor
  • Adult friend who always wanted to learn
  • Family member of any age

Program Details

  • Referral credit applies to new students only (first-time registrations).
  • Both the referring student and the new student receive $75 credit toward private lessons.
  • Credits unlock after the referred new student completes their first four lessons.
  • Credits apply to private lessons only.
  • For in-home lessons, the credit covers the on-campus/online equivalent — the small difference is paid by the family.
  • Cannot be combined with other AMI discounts, promotions, or special offers.
  • This program allows one referral credit per family, making it easy to share AMI with someone special.
