AMI Mission

American Music Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Chicago, IL founded in 2006 by Remus Badea, Executive Director. The AMI Mission is to provide a high standard of music education to all students in all instruments, levels, ages, and styles of music. Our principle objective is to preserve the art of music education and music performance for future generations of the American society.

AMI’s campuses are located in Clarendon Hills, Downers GroveSt. Charles, Geneva, IL. We are a leading pre-collegiate music school in the Chicagoland area specializing in quality music education and professional music performance. AMI offers a variety of programs in all disciplines of music and for all ages, levels, and styles of music.

We are always expanding our satellite locations for music lessons throughout the Chicago area. Contact us at AMI@amimusic.org for a list of new locations. Check out our individual lessons, group classes, and other programs – there’s something for everyone!

Programs

AMI’s Mission is to offers a variety of programs, from beginning classes for  children and adults, to advanced programs. Free community concerts and open recitals are offered throughout the year, as well as free music seminars in local community centers. Individual lessons are offered on all instruments in a variety of different styles of music. They are a great way to develop sophisticated playing skills for students of all levels and ages.
