AMI Solo Competition for Violin and Piano is being held Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Steinway Chicago, Downers Grove. The competition is open to all young violinists and pianists ages 8 – 18 years old. Prizes are merit based and include scholarships at the American Music Institute and other educational / musical awards.

Requirements

Junior: Ages 8 - 12 years old
Repertoire - 1 performance piece of candidates choice, 1 major & minor scale - 2 octaves.

Senior: Ages 13 - 18 years old
Repertoire - 2 contrasting pieces of candidates choice - Classical and Romantic or Bach Solo, 1 major & minor - 3 octaves.
