Contributing to the Annual Fund by transferring securities to AMI rather than making a direct contribution of cash is another way you can donate. Should you choose this method of giving, you will not pay any capital gains tax on your gift, and you may be able to claim a Federal income tax deduction based on the full fair market value of the securities on the effective date of your gift.
