Mission

American Music Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting music education and music performance throughout the Chicago-land community. As a non-profit organization, AMI’s Founders, Board, Administrative Staff, Volunteers and Faculty are committed to one central vision and purpose – to secure the place of music within the American society. We believe that within the discourse of academic learning and the function of the general public, it is essential for the arts to remain a proactive and imperative component within our society in order to cultivate a humane and cultured society.

Our goals as a non-profit arts and education organization stem from our truest belief in these principles – and every course of action we take as an organization remains focused on keeping true to these deep convictions. We at AMI are dedicated to remaining vigilant to the ever-growing requirements needed throughout the community, in relationship to music and arts education and performance. Our commitment to excellence is the driving force behind the development of all of our curriculum, programming and performance-based projects. In order to best benefit our students and the community, AMI is devoted to obtaining highly qualified teaching faculty, administrative personnel and performers. As a community and team focused organization, we take into account the suggestions and expertise of various components of the organization and its supporters; this, we hope, will achieve our vision of continued development of one of Chicago’s leading pre-collegiate music schools.
