Michael TahlierGuitar/Bass


As a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Michael Tahlier holds a Bachelors Degree in Professional Music with an emphasis in Music Education. Enrolled at Berklee on scholarship, Michael graduated Cum Laude in 2007. Teaching music sense 2000, he has taught privately as a Berklee College off-campus instructor, has been apart of the National Musician’s Workshop staff sense 2007 and has taught at the University of Green Bays Ultimate guitar Workshop sense 2003. Studying under acclaimed musicians Hal Crook, Ed Tomassi and Jon Damian to name a few, Michael has learned a wide range of teaching styles.

Aside from teaching, Michael is a performing artist, playing lead guitar with his band, The Tim Stopulos Trio (TS3). TS3 is putting out their third C.D. late 2010 and has traveled throughout the Midwest playing shows off their newest album “The Long Drive Home” Michael began teaching at American Music Institute in 2007, as the Guitar Studies Program Director and Private Studio teacher.


Personal Statement

My mission is to be a mentor, to teach what I have spent my entire life mastering, and to never stop learning myself. My goal is to be the person people come to for advice, encouragement and to develop my students to their full musical potential. Teaching music is a passion for me and is very rewarding working with others who share that same passion with me. Music is my life and my goal is to share what I have learned.
