Amy Olipra – Voice/Piano

Amy Olipra, mezzo-soprano, holds a B.M. and a B.M.E. from the University of Illinois and an M.M. in voice from Indiana University. An Indiana Graduate Teaching Assistant, she has experience teaching voice students from all levels, beginning to advanced, as well as beginning piano students. She has performed as a soloist with Sarasota Opera, Central City Opera, Salzburg Mozart Opera Ensemble, Indiana University Opera Theatre, and Illinois Opera Theatre. Roles include Mrs. Sedley in Peter Grimes, Gertrude in Romeo et Juliette, Gretchen in The Student Prince, the Mother in Six Characters in Search of an Author, La Mére in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Olga Olsen in Street Scene and Czipra in Der Zigeunerbaron. She has also appeared in recital at the Chicago Humanities Festival and in concert with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Olipra currently teaches general music in the elementary schools of Lemont-Bromberek School District 113a.
