Amaryah LaBeffGuitar/Voice/Piano

Amaryah LaBeff holds a BA Music from North Central University, Minneapolis in Guitar where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was president of the university's honor society. Amaryah has studied guitar with Kenneth Wilson, Charlie Chornopoulos, piano with David Peddle, Peter Shu, voice with Diana Grasselli, Krista Palmquist, among others.

Amaryah benefits from both conventional and unconventional musical training alike; from studying classical piano at a young age to playing piano at soup kitchens when she was just a kid to international performances. At NCU, Amaryah also started her teaching career with the WOVEN program (With One Voice Energizing Neighborhoods), which provided free lessons and instruments to children from low-income families; the program and students were an inspiration to Amaryah (she’s been hooked on non-profit organizations ever since). At the same time, Amaryah taught private piano, guitar, violin and mandolin lessons with Beginning Music Inc.

After moving to the Chicago area in 2004, Amaryah did an internship with Aware Records (John Mayer, Train, Five for Fighting, etc.) where she learned the ins and outs of the music industry. Later, she taught music classes, conducted show choir and lead music therapy groups at Helping Hand Rehabilitation Center in Countryside, IL. Performing since she was just 10 years old, Amaryah has impressed audiences from rock clubs in Chicago to prisons in Michigan to churches in Ireland. Currently, Amaryah plays keyboards, synthesizers, guitar and violin in the Chicago rock band We Are the Preamble. She continues to write, perform and record her original music and of course, teach eager students at American Music Institute.

Her notable discography are the self-titled demo in 2005 - "Amaryah", "Love is Not an Accident" by Harmony LaBeff in 2007, and the 2010 single - "Are you Jesus".
