General Information


American Music Institute operates on a semester system, with three semesters a year.  Private lessons run for the full 16-week semester, while most group classes have two 8-week sessions per semester.  AMI has variety of educational and rewarding programs for all ages, levels, and instruments. 

Registration


Continuing Student registration begins app. 6 weeks before the next up-coming semester, and Open Registration begins app. 4 weeks before the next semester.  Click here to register for group classes, private lessons, recitals, or other up-coming events/educational programs.

Private Lesson Program


Private Lessons are offered for all instruments, levels, and styles of music ~ and are considered the most fundamental component in receiving a comprehensive education.  We at AMI encourage students to schedule trial lessons before registering for the entire semester.  Additionally, the private lesson program has open admission throughout the entire semester - thus allowing students to register at anytime during a semester.  However, registration is based on availability, and in order to secure a timeslot it is reccommended to register early.  Click here for more information on AMI's Private Lesson Program.

Group Classes


A variety of group classes are offered every semester.  Classes include Beginning Violin I, II & III, Guitar 101, Early Childhood Classes (ages 6 months - 6 years), Music Theory, Music History, and more.  Click here  for the up-coming class schedule.
