Musical Theatre

Stephen Colella  – Tenor –  Bachelor of Fine Arts Voice/Theatre Performance, University of Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music.  Performing accomplishments: Working Actor On Broadway 1996-2003; Les Miserables (Broadway, National, Canadian, Asia Tours), Miss Saigon (National Tour). Worked with Tony Award Winning Directors/Composers/Actors: Stephen Sondheim, Patti Lu pone, Lonnie Price, Paul Gemminagine.  25+ years’s piano playing experience. Currently teaches at Elk Grove Village High School as a vocal coach, speech coach, and piano instructor.

Lauren Konen  – Soprano –  Northwestern University, B.M. in Vocal Performance, minor in Musical Theater.  Studied privately under renowned musicians Mignon Dunn, Sherill Milnes, Mignon Dunn, William Woodruff and Fabrizio Melano; 20+ years playing the piano, 12+ years as a vocalist.  Studied abroad in Italy, participating in the International Institute of Vocal Arts;  Piano & Voice teacher at New Trier High School.

Jamie Szynal   – Mezzo-Soprano/Alto –  Bachelor of Art in Musical Theatre/Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Illinois State University.  Previous teachers include John Koch and Dr. Christopher Hollingsworth.  Teacher at the Illinois State University Community Music School; Theatre/Opera experience includes Marriage of Figaro, Tony and Tina’s Wedding, Camelot, A Night in Vienna, Musical Review, Madrigal Singer.
